Parasite Box – The Usual Suspects + Hookworms + Skin parasite Check + Drs Appointment

This is one of our most affordable test that includes a wide screening for parasitic infections by microscopic analysis for the identification of roundworms, flukes, tapeworms and unicellular parasites (protozoa). Additional real-time PCR is provided for protozoa and Hookworms – hookworms can migrate from the gut into the body. A microscopic exam is added for skin/scalp debris for parasitic infections in skin. A Drs appointment is included in the package.

Free analysis;

  • The microscopy for unicellular parasites can also identify infections with Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba spp (free of charge).

Skin parasites:

  • Microscopic exam for parasites in your skin – with microscopic exam. Skin residue or other objects should be sent in to lab for further analysis.

Doctors appointment

  • A 30 minute Drs appointment with Dr van Elst is included in the cost of the test.

You will find the available add-on tests in the laboratory submission form included in your Parasite Box. Additional add-on tests are charged separately upon arrival to our laboratory. 

  • Zonulin & Calprotectin (inflammatory markers and identification of leaky gut).
  • PCR-analysis for Flukes; Schistosoma haematobium (Blood fluke), Fasciola hepatica (Large liver fluke) & Opisthorchis viverrini (Asian liver fluke) + 1 urine sample
  • Heliobacter pylori – (harmful intestinal bacteria).
  • Fecal Occult Blood
  • PCR analysis for Candida (7 Species)
  • PCR analysis for 7 Common urinary tract infections  –   Mycoplasma Genitalium (Parasitic Bacteria, PB), Mycoplasma Hominis (Parasitic Bacteria), Ureaplasma Parvum (Bacteria), Ureaplasma Urealyticum (Bacteria), Trichomonas Vaginalis (Protozoan Parasite), Chlamydia Trachomatis (Parasitic Bacteria), Neisseria gonorrhoeae (Bacteria)
